The hit Broadway musical, Waitress is getting the silver screen treatment. Currently set to make its debut at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, fans eagerly anticipate the production. The musical, which is based on the 2007 film of the same name, has been a huge success on Broadway since its premiere in 2016.

This production features  Christopher Fitzgerald in his Tony-nominated performance as Ogie. It also includes Drew Gehling, Charity Angél Dawson, and Caitlin Houlahan along with the rest of the encore cast.

The footage was captured during the musical’s 2021 Broadway return. Bareilles essentially confirmed the existence of the official filming last year. She briefly shared footage of her watching a rough cut of the film on one of her Instagram stories.
