Orlando Movie Theaters: Enzian Theater

In an era of mainstream movie theaters going digital, theaters such as the Enzian Theater in Orlando, Florida are determined to keep the spirit of the classic theater going experience intact. The Enzian Theater has many of the same offerings as any other theater, with the traditional concession items, and the Eden Bar. The Enzian is the only full-time independent theater in the heart of Central Florida that focuses on independent, foreign language, and art house films.

Check out what this Google Reviewer has to say about the Florida Film Festival and the Enzian Theater: “Attended the Florida Film Festival here – three days, twelve movies. Fun times. Q&As with filmmakers (and William Shatner!). The food is good, the service attentive but not intrusive, and the facility is a hidden gem.” Well said my friend!

The Enzian Theater has been around since 1985 and used to show six to twelve classic films a week, ultimately decided to try their hand at first-run independent features and they haven’t regretted a minute of it. While their focus is still independent features, they still make time for classics in an effort to continuously bring the community together. Thank you Enzian Theater!

According to this Google Reviewer, the Enzian Theater is “The” place to be, “I always wanted to come to this place and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is just magical, very very romantic. It’s definitely a must for couples.”

Orlando Movie Theaters: Orlando Science Center Cinedome

When you’re on vacation and need a break from the theme parks you can head on over to the Orlando Science Center, where you can get hands on with a huge assortment of interactive experiences with down to earth natural science, to the incredible world of high tech simulation. But, if that isn’t your cup of tea and you want an experience involving a large screen and plush seating, then look no further than the Dr. Phillip’s Cinedome and the Orlando Science Center. This theater doesn’t boast the latest in traditional blockbuster films, but rather films and adventures in science, from interplanetary adventures, to trips under the sea and live stage shows.

The Cinedome has two screens with content constantly changing, so before you head over it is recommended that you check to see what shows might be playing. The seats are plush and comfortable, as you would expect, and give new meaning to stadium seating. So, grab your kids and skip the theme parks for one day and head on over to the Orlando Science Center Cinedome for an adventure that’s out of this world.

This Google Reviewer’s got the right attitude, “Not only is the museum itself really fun and educational , but my husband and I had our wedding here in October of 2021 and it was phenomenal, an absolute dream.”

Orlando Movie Theaters: Orlando Premiere 14 Fashion Square

Like many other theaters, the Premiere 14 Fashion Square has non-reclining stadium seating, a concession with all of the typical concession fare, friendly staff, well maintained, and best of all, located right in the heart of Orlando in the Fashion Square Mall.

Many of the patrons boast about the staff being friendly, and the bathrooms being clean, but fail to mention the best part, it’s inside of a mall. Now, not only can you do a lunch date, but afterwards you can get your shopping done in your favorite stores. Or, if you’re like this particular writer, once you’ve done your Black Friday shopping, you can hit the cinema for a nice relaxing afternoon. And, before we forget, the pricing is right on par, if not better than, with that of other theaters. Matinee movies can oftentimes run you less than $10 per person, which is huge when you have multiple people in your party.

Check out this Google Reviewer’s take on the pricing and sound, “I go here a lot it’s quiet, đŸ¤« clean & always not too busy. The staff are friendly & it’s only 10mins drive for me, & b4 2pm it’s $7 dollars can’t beat the sound are loud.”

This Google Reviewer’s remarks on the pricing and concessions speak volumes: “Went to see Elvis movie. Went to the afternoon movie. Prices are great. They charge a lot at their concession stand.”

Regal Pointe Orlando plays host to many of the newest releases from all the major studios, as well as some of the old classics, either on or around their initial release anniversary. They also take the season into play when deciding which classics to bring back for special screenings. A prime example is Jaws. For one night only in September guests were invited to watch the classic in IMAX.

This Google Reviewer seems to really enjoy the seating, lol: “I went here on Sunday last weekend and it was nice there! I tried the 4DX for The Suicide Squad and it was a fun experience which was like a 2 hour Universal Studios ride!”

Orlando Movie Theaters: Universal Cinemark at Universal CityWalk

When you think about the movies, you typically think about going to a movie theater down the road from your house, or in the heart of downtown. But what you don’t think about is going to the movies while you are on vacation, however, now you can do both. With Universal Cinemark at Universal CityWalk you can watch new releases, and old classics alike. This was particularly important during the pandemic.

Now that you’ve decided on your movie of choice, how about you think about what you want to eat during your show. Universal Cinemark at Universal CityWalk has all of your favorites, from popcorn to hotdogs, and candy galore to nachos and cheese (this writer’s personal favorite). It’s important to note that some items may not currently be available due to supply shortages.

One of the best things to do on a hot Florida day while visiting Universal Studios is to take a break and get out of the heat, which is another reason we think Universal Cinemark at Universal CityWalk is a must do. With it being in the heart of Universal Studios, it can either be incredibly busy, or incredibly slow, like this one Google Reviewer discovered recently. “Caught a show today just after noon when the park was busy and the heat was rising. The theatre wasn’t busy at all. The show that we saw only had a total of 7 people including us.”

This Reviewer on Google really loved the seating, sound and the free, after 6pm, or reimbursed parking before 6pm. “XD is one of the best theatre experiences I have ever had. Sound and screen were huge and crisp. Reclining seats were super comfy. Free parking after 6pm and will be reimbursed before. Will definitely be back.”

Orlando Movie Theaters: Regal Winter Park Village

Like the Regal Pointe Orlando mentioned previously, Regal Winter Park Village offers reserved recliner seating, and premium screen experiences with the use of Regal RPX (screens that are bigger than traditional cinema screens), as well as ScreenX (a 270 degree movie watching experience).

As with all theaters, in order to make it a good experience one must indulge in the local food fare (i.e. only the best concession food, lol). So, what do you consider your go-to food? Is it Popcorn? Pizza? Hot Dog? Nachos? Or maybe you’re one of those that just wants it all? Well, if that’s the case then you’ve come to the right place. Regal Winter Park Village has all of those, and a nice

No matter your age, Regal Winter Park Village is the perfect theater to head out to whether you are going on a date with your spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend, or just a fun family night out together.

Don’t believe us? Just see what this Google Reviewer has to say. “We absolutely love this theater! It’s clean, the sound is great and the theaters that have the reclining seats are some of the best theater seats in town! If you want to truly EXPERIENCE a film that you have been looking forward to seeing, come to this theater and watch it! You’ll enjoy it 100 times more than anywhere else. Also, there’s plenty of parking outside and activities and restaurants to visit after the movie. Two thumbs up!”

Or, how about this Google reviewer? “I love this theatre. The seats recline and are very comfortable. Nice location in Winter Park village, so there are some fun options if you are looking to eat/shop before or after your movie.”

Orlando Movie Theaters: Aloma Cinema Grille

Aloma Cinema Grille sits in the heart of Winter Park and offers their guests a fun and unique movie going experience. While they may lack the upgraded recliner seats, they more than make up for that with their incredible selection of concessions, which will be delivered to you by the friendliest of staff. Beer with your popcorn? Yes sir!

While we could all enjoy a cold beer with our popcorn, I’d like to take a moment and focus on their choice of seating. While most people who go to the theater are expecting to sit in plush leather recliners now, or at the very least in stadium seating; Aloma Cinema Grille has something else in mind entirely. Here you’ll find booth seating, like you find in a restaurant, as well as seating that rolls. That’s right, you’ll be sitting in what looks like a chair you find in your office. While most people would find this odd, it is actually quite convenient for staff and guests alike. Now you can easily turn to talk to your friends before the show, and the staff can clean a lot easier by simply moving the seat aside.

This Google reviewer seems to love their seating, and we agree! “Always a great way to watch a movie! Seating is mostly individual swivel office type chairs. Every pair of seats has a table.”

Orlando Movie Theaters: Touchstar Cinemas – Southchase 7

Touchstar Cinemas – Southchase 7 is perhaps a rare find for a theater in Orlando, as they offer something the other theaters don’t, the best prices around. While sure, they offer a lot of the same things that others do, great central location, traditional concessions, new reserved reclining seats, and all of the latest releases. Their prices cannot be beat. They begin at $8.00 for matinee’s, and $9.00 for shows after 6pm, and best of all, they have what they call, $5.00 bargain Tuesday. Incredible!

Now, let’s discuss those amazing seating options shall we? Not only do they have, as mentioned above, reclining seats, but they also offer daybed seating for an extra cost. So, would you splurge for a daybed while watching your favorite movie, or would you be too worried about falling asleep?

I love the “daybed” style seating! Much nicer than some of the bigger chain theaters! I will definitely be watching all of my future movies here ☺️.”

This Google Reviewer also gets a huge thumbs up from us as well. “This is south Orlando’s best kept secret. Theaters are clean, no large crowds whenever I go, their concession stand is different and varied unlike other theaters.
